COMMUNITY PROJECTS

MosaicPro is proud to support its community in the arts in many ways. Each spring, MosaicPro hosts "Art Among the Ruins", an art show and sale that features the very best in local art talent. Held on the picturesque grounds of an 1800's mill beside the rapids of the Napanee River, in Newburgh, Ontario, Art Among the Ruins brings visitors as far away as Toronto and Ottawa.

Another way MosaicPro contributes to its community is to teach local children the art of mosaics while they, too, can contribute to their surroundings. Below, is a beautiful piece called "Helping Hands" that was created by children ages 8-12. Each child created a tiled panel that represented his/her hand and name. The Lennox and Addington County General Hospital in Napanee, Ontario, is pleased to be the recipient of this heartfelt piece. It is currently in their permanent collection in their Emergency Room. The children's desire to donate the piece is based on the premise that visitors to the hospital will feel better when they see their hands on the wall to give them a "helping hand" to heal quickly.

Please contact us if you have ideas and desire to complete a special project in your community.
